Professional Statement
I help my individual and couple clients transform stress, trauma, depression and anxiety into thriving lives and relationships. Whether you are recovering from a loss, burnout at work, feeling like an imposter in your life or dealing with life transitions like break-up, Divorce, illness, being an empty nester or looking to enter a new relationship, therapy combined with coaching can be a rich ground for change, personal growth and healing .
I work with individuals and couples impacted by life transitions like illness, divorce, co-parenting challenges, issues with intimacy and infidelity. My Gottman and mindfulness informed approach has helped my clients transform heartache and break-ups into breakthroughs and healthy “2nd innings.” I strive to create a warm, non judgemental, gender, culture and racial diversity friendly, empathic and genuine space for support and healing.
If you feel like you are struggling on the inside, but look like you are doing “okay”, you don’t have to wait till things get really bad. Therapy isn’t for just bad times, it’s for any time you need support, a healer, a sounding board or coach. Whether you are dealing with stress, trauma, anxiety or depression, I would love to work with you to transform the very stresses that brought you into my office, into growth and inspired living with thriving health and relationships.

Education/Experience
I am a clinical psychologist licensed in New Jersey and New York with a passion for helping people create and live their best life. I came to the US as a student soon after the 9/11 attacks and spent the next 5 years in graduate school at Rutgers University, NJ specializing in the treatment of Depression, Anxiety, Trauma and chronic stress. My clinical style evolved from being primarily psycho-dynamic at the time, to a more integrative orientation today. In all the positions I held after graduating from my doctoral program at the Graduate school of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) Rutgers University, my mission has been to focus on the whole person health and happiness.
I use evidence based treatments (CBT, DBT, Mindfulness techniques, Psychodynamic therapy to name a few), well known for symptom relief, restoring a sense of wellbeing and reducing overall stress. To learn more about some of the key therapeutic modalities I integrate in my work, visit us at https://thrivewm.net/wellness/wellness-2/
I also hold a faculty position at the NYU Langone Medical Center (NYULMC) where I practice psychotherapy and coaching with clients through a health program for survivors of the 9/11 attacks. In addition to clinical practice I provide clinical leadership through supervision and mentoring of early career mental health professionals. As one of the few proponents of mindfulness in mental health treatment and wellness, I lead the Trauma informed training program through a prestigious internship program for doctoral level psychology students.
