Professional Statement

With warmth and encouragement, I will help you identify and work through your thoughts and emotions in a more effective way. My background is in evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Together, we identify your personal goals and focus on research-backed techniques to better address emotions and behaviors that interfere in you personal progress. I can help you to directly address various emotions and behaviors that have started taking a toll on you living in a fully present way in your life. That may be overwhelming worries or anxieties, uncontrolled stress, difficult memories, insomnia, or trauma reactions.

I specialize in providing online teletherapy and offer services throughout the state of California.

I completed my doctoral degree at the University of Nevada; completed a one-year predoctoral internship at the VA Boston Healthcare System focused on treating military and non-military trauma and substance use; completed a one-year postdoctoral fellowship at the VA San Diego Healthcare System focused on evidence-based treatments for co-occurring disorders.

I have specialized training/certifications in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), and various other evidence-based treatments such as CBT and ACT.
