Professional Statement
I am a licensed clinical psychologist and I am honored to offer an affirmative psychotherapy practice to adults in California. My office is located in Glendale but about half of my clients prefer to meet exclusively online because of the time it saves not having to drive to/from an appointment.
I work well with a variety of mood and anxiety disorders, and also with the unexpected challenges in life that can bring stress, grief, or self-doubt. Although the things that motivate many of us to initiate therapy are often acutely painful, I am also interested in helping my clients gain insight into why they act the way they do, explore who they want to be in the world, and understand what they need in order to thrive.
Psychologists get trained in many different modalities of psychotherapy that promote distinct methods for how to best address symptoms. It is important that you work with someone who can understand where you are coming from and also help you change. Education/Experience
I have been providing psychotherapy for over 15 years. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at the Long Beach VA Healthcare System and my post-doctoral training at UCSD. Before opening my private practice, I spent five years at a non-profit that provided psychological support to international aid workers, which gave me a lot of experience with tele-therapy before the Covid-19 pandemic made it commonplace.
