Professional Statement
I am a licensed psychologist specializing in the assessment treatment of stress, trauma, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in adolescents and young adults. Navigating the aftermath of trauma, during your formative developmental years, requires a highly individualized, compassionate, and evidence-based approach. My practice is dedicated to providing a safe, validating environment where young people can process their experiences, regain a sense of safety, and build long-term resilience. My clinical approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectial Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Mindfulness to assist clients in building real-world coping skills. I believe that trauma does not define a young person’s future. My goal is to collaborate with clients and their parents/caregivers (when appropriate) to foster post-traumatic growth. I focus on helping adolescents and young adults develop healthy coping mechanisms, improve interpersonal relationships, and transition successfully into adulthood.
Education/Experience
I have over twenty years of experience working with adolescents and young adults, and my career has spanned inpatient pediatrics, outpatient psychiatry, crisis intervention, and specialized residential care.
