Hi. My name is Dr. Helena Mercy and I have over 30 years of experience working with individuals, couples and families with diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Using a cognitive-behavioral approach to treatment along with brief solution-focused psychotherapy, I assist my clients with identifying clear, concise, and realistic goals that can help to improve the quality of their lives.

My goal as your psychologist will be to help you recognize and break down the barriers that have interfered with your ability to function at your best. Through understanding and respect for your unique experiences and challenges, I aim to provide a safe place for you to learn the skills necessary that will empower you to realize your "Miracle Question" goal. I am a Licensed Psychologist in the state of California, where I earned my master's and doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology. I have spent the past 30 years working with a diverse population of individuals, families, and couples with such presenting challenges as depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, substance abuse, severe and chronic mental illness, and personality disorders. I have worked as a Senior Psychologist and a Clinical Director for non-profit, community-based mental health centers along with supervising interns and students. I helped to develop and facilitate specialized groups for seniors, the LGBTQ+ community, those who abuse substances and those who have had childhood trauma.
