Professional Statement

I am a licensed psychologist who specializes in relationships, women’s mental health, college mental health and culturally relevant therapy approaches. I utilize an online therapy platform to ensure convenience. In practice I focus on your strengths and use evidence based interventions in my treatment of anxiety, depression, adjustment and other psychological concerns.

My therapeutic approach focuses on creating connections and understanding the varying contexts that have been impactful. I have been known to use humor in my practice as well as incorporating solution focused and motivational strategies. I am committed to promoting advocacy, fostering an inclusive environment and the prevention of interpersonal violence.

Education/Experience

I earned my PhD in counseling psychology from Northeastern University and my Bachelors and Masters in psychology from Florida International University. I completed an APA-accredited internship at UCLA Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and a health psychology postdoctoral fellowship at University of San Francisco. I have advanced training in ADHD assessment, the treatment of alcohol and other drug use, working with couples and as a leader and facilitator of groups focusing on empowerment, depression, and social anxiety.

In addition to my clinical work, I am an experienced speaker who presents on topics such as creating connections, cultural competency, gender and sexual diversity, increasing resilience, managing microaggressions, stress, and interpersonal violence and suicide prevention.
