Professional Statement

I work alongside adults and teens, treating anxiety, depression, sleep problems, history of trauma, and/or coping with co-occurring medical conditions. My mission is to help people break free from self-limiting beliefs and patterns, so they can live with greater freedom and purpose. Many of us don’t recognize the ways we might be holding ourselves back—whether it’s through anxiety, our relationship with food, or beliefs we've internalized from others. Maybe you’ve noticed yourself repeating the same cycles, even after changing jobs or ending a difficult relationship. Despite your efforts, the feelings of anxiety and burnout persist.

Education/Experience

I am licensed as a psychologist, which is the highest level of licensure for therapy professionals in the USA. My degree is in clinical psychology, which involves extensive education and supervised training in psychotherapy, assessment, and mental health before licensure (a total of 6 years in graduate training). I have specialized training in behavioral sleep medicine and several evidence-based therapeutic approaches. While we spend time talking, the work goes beyond traditional 'talk therapy.' I often use Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to promote deeper healing. IFS helps you explore different 'parts' of yourself, recognizing that even challenging parts have positive intentions, like an inner critic that developed to protect you—perhaps to prevent failure or rejection. By bringing compassion and understanding to these parts, we can gain incredible insights into unmet needs or past experiences that need healing. EMDR helps reprocess and resolve traumatic memories that may keep you stuck in negative beliefs and unhelpful patterns, leveraging your body’s natural healing abilities to change how you relate to those past experiences.
