Professional Statement

Things may be more stressful than ever given the challenges of living in fear of an invisible force during the pandemic. The pandemic has a way of amplifying stress, anxiety and loss that may have been felt even before the pandemic yet now may feel overwhelming. Something in your life is happening right now telling you that talking to a professional might be helpful. I aim to facilitate and cultivate a relationship with each unique individual and couple to create a safe, stable and confidential space. It is within this space that you and I will explore your thoughts, feelings and patterns of behavior that are impacting your overall functioning. We will explore your past in an effort to make connections and understand how you have come to navigate relationships and come to feel as you do towards yourself and others. Making sense of past traumas and childhood experiences often gives clues to understanding each individual or couple's current emotional and interpersonal struggles. I thoroughly enjoy working with adults of all ages and specialize in "emerging adults" in their 20's and 30's struggling with depression, anxiety, relationships, academic and career struggles, trauma, gender/sexuality identity and life transitions. In addition, I have advanced training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADS) and enjoy working with women struggling with reproductive challenges, grief and loss (trying to conceive, infertility, IVF, other assisted reproductive technologies and miscarriage). Imagine moving through life as a more engaged, connected and self assured individual able to face life challenges as they present themselves. What does this life look like for you? I welcome your inquiry.
