Professional Statement

While we all experience stress, anxiety, and sadness, it is important to have a safe place to express yourself with compassionate guidance. I am a clinical psychologist committed to helping you work through life's challenges, in a warm, supportive, and empathic environment.

I provide evidence-based treatments to adults (18+) experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, grief, and PTSD. I have specialized training in treating adults who experience difficulty adjusting to life transitions or role changes, grief or loss, chronic and life threatening illnesses. Further, I assist those who experience difficulty with communication and assertiveness, as well as those facing challenges in their relationships with others. I also have extensive experience treating Veterans and first responders.

Education/Experience

I completed my masters in Mental Health and Wellness Counseling from New York University. I completed my masters internship at the Institute for Community Living, where I worked with individuals who had co-occurring mental illnesses and substance use in a community mental health clinic in Brooklyn, NY. I then received my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Palo Alto University where my research focused on combining technology and mental health, specifically aimed at suicide prevention. I completed my predoctoral internship at the VA Long Beach Healthcare System, where I worked in geriatric inpatient, primary care, and outpatient (combat PTSD and general) mental health clinics. I went on to complete my postdoctoral fellowship at the San Francsico VA Healthcare System where I received specialized training in geropsychology. I have worked in a number of settings including residential facilities, community mental health centers, and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs healthcare system.
