Professional Statement

You are not broken! It is human to feel loss, sadness, anger, fear, or unworthiness. Recent advances in neuroscience can help us understand why we feel stuck, sad, angry, stressed, scared or alone. When we begin to understand the implicit/unconscious feelings/beliefs that automatically run inside of us we begin a journey that can lead to more awareness, and therefore to more choice in our lives. The hardest part of this journey is the first step; to make your growth a priority enough to tolerate the discomfort of facing what isn't working.

Education/Experience

28 years of clinical experience, 9 years supervising therapists in training, and 5 years experience in county psychiatric emergency services. A special focus in working with men (anger, intimacy, parenting, career issues). I also work with John Sarno's understanding of psychophysiological pain.

Degrees/Certifications
  • The California Institute of integral Studies. 1992 - Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology
  • Sonoma State University. 1986 - MA in Humanistic Psychology
