Professional Statement

I am counseling psychologist who specializes in mind-based performance enhancement training for athletes and musicians. I also have years of experience doing individual psychotherapy to relieve individuals from the burdensome symptoms of mental illness and to enhance quality of life. My goal is to enable everyone to pursue a more mindful, meaningful, and connected life, and to integrate all experiences ranging from trauma to success into a cohesive sense of self. In my practice, I combine CBT-based approaches with humanistic values, and I encourage implementing skills derived from positive psychology research.

Education/Experience

I have enjoyed training in a variety of mental health settings. Prior to receiving my degree, I provided group therapy and individual psychotherapy at a day treatment center and a psychiatric hospital. I also provided individual therapy at a college counseling center. My most recent postdoctoral experience was at a community mental health center, where I provided individual psychotherapy. I also teach psychology courses at Mass College of Art.
