Professional Statement

If it's time to go beyond distracting yourself from your emotions and feeling "stuck" in your current situation, I can help you discover the roots of your issues, so you can make conscious choices about how to deal with them and move forward. My therapy style is warm, interactive, flexible, and engaged. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, psychodynamic, and client-centered treatment. I create custom treatment plans for individuals in an effort to provide the best support for you to reach your goals and grow toward your ideal self. These will also be informed by your cultural background and personal and family history. It is very important to me that you feel accepted, heard, and respected throughout our work together.

My role is to empower you to change in a way that leads to a more meaningful, healthy, and satisfying life. I believe therapy is a great first step in establishing support and movement in our lives. It takes courage and strength to start to overcome the roadblocks to achieving your hopes and dreams, and I look forward to providing a safe, supportive space for you to work to achieve your potential!

I have worked with individuals, couples, and families in different areas with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, emotional abuse, addictions, sexuality, spirituality, identity, anger management, stress, self-esteem, and life transitions. I have been involved in psychology organizations on national, state, and local levels; and I have taught and supervised students in a variety of career stages, including doctoral psychology interns.
