Professional Statement

My goal is to help you live a rich and meaningful life and to develop a new way of relating to painful emotional experiences. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, sleep difficulty and relationship issues.

My therapeutic approach draws on a newer cognitive behavioral therapy, called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). ACT is an empirically supported treatment which emphasizes mindfulness, self-compassion, and acceptance to help you live your best life. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to treat anxiety and depression and I am trained in trauma-focused therapies including Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy. I offer online or video sessions to residents living in Tennessee and Texas.
